Ocean Dynamics

My research in ocean dynamics has focused on the general circulation of the ocean with an emphasis on understanding the global pattern of currents and property distributions. I have been particularly interested in the following broad areas:

  1. Ocean Convection
  2. The Southern Ocean and the dynamics of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current
  3. Ocean Eddies and their role in the large-scale ocean circulation
  4. Ventilation and Thermocline theory
