Ocean Dynamics
My research in ocean dynamics has focused on the general circulation of the ocean with an emphasis on understanding the global pattern of currents and property distributions. I have been particularly interested in the following broad areas:
- Ocean Convection
- The Southern Ocean and the dynamics of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current
- Ocean Eddies and their role in the large-scale ocean circulation
- Ventilation and Thermocline theory
